Well, hello there Internet! My, what bright screen you have!
Two months ago, Rachel and I went to the theater and after MANY DRINKS I promised her I would start a blog. So we brainstormed ideas. What do you know? A bar blog sounded fun, even though my liver began to protest with loud screeches and signs. She even tried to recruit my kidneys! (Damn liver!!)
But in reality, two days after the promise, my lovely computer up and died. As in I couldn't even turn it on with fully charged battery and power cord attached! Oh technology, why must you hate me so?
I went to the Apple store. Sitting at the "Genius" bar I watched as they called "genius" after "genius" to the counter to diagnose the problem. I felt like I was living a high tech version of a story my son loves.
"in came the doctor, in came the nurse and in came the lady with the alligator purse!"
45 minutes later, they decide they have to send it in. this is a flat rate of 300 dollars for repair and I nearly fall off my chair laughing. I am a single mom in SF. 300 bucks is A LOT of money. I need to save up for it.
So now, 8 weeks later, I have a fixed computer. And I only had to send it to apple... twice. And yes, I have been to a few hotel bars with Rachel and have a few stories. But they will have to wait until I can type better.
or at least type without being buzzed. :)
